Remuneration: £74,000 FTE- plus £1000 working from home allowance
Contract Type: Permanent/Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Location: Home-based/various UK meeting locations as required

The Team Lead – ADHD Titration Service plays a crucial role within Psychiatry UK, reporting directly to the Clinical Operations Manager. This position is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the Titration team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality clinical services. The Titration Team Lead supports service development, operational excellence, and clinical governance aligned with Psychiatry UK’s strategic objectives.
The post holder will allocate their time across team leadership, pathway ownership, clinical supervision, and operational management to deliver continuous improvement and maintain high standards of patient care.
This role is predominantly remote (applicants must reside in the UK) but requires attendance at various meeting locations within the UK as needed and adheres to Psychiatry UK's flexitime principles.
As our Team Lead – ADHD Titration Service you will:
Quality and Safety Oversight:
- Lead and maintain clinical safety and quality standards within the Titration team.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure evidence-based, safe, and effective service delivery.
- Contribute to governance and quality assurance meetings relevant to the titration service
Clinical Leadership:
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to the Titration team, promoting best practices and professional development.
- Review applications and participate in interviewing and recruitment processes for new team members.
- Maintain own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and ensure CPD compliance across the team.
Team Management:
- Manage the performance, workload, and wellbeing of clinical staff within the titration team.
- Facilitate regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to discuss cases, share knowledge, and promote team cohesion.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to build a resilient, motivated, and skilled workforce.
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the titration team to ensure efficient patient flow and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including NHS agencies to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Escalate clinical risks and concerns in accordance with Psychiatry UK policies and safeguarding requirements.
Engagement and Collaboration:
- Foster effective working relationships within Psychiatry UK, the NHS, and other care providers to enhance integrated patient care.
- Communicate regularly with the Clinical Operations Manager regarding service progress, challenges, and innovations.
- Promote Psychiatry UK’s values, mission, and vision through leadership and personal conduct.
Administration and Documentation:
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of patient contacts and clinical interventions in electronic health records.
- Participate actively in supervision and Psychiatry UK’s Personal Development Review (PDR) process.
- Attend relevant mandatory and professional development training.
To succeed as our Team Lead – ADHD Titration Service, you will be:
A strong leader with exceptional organisational, and communication skills. You will have a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices related to mental health care, clinical governance, safeguarding, and data protection principles. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with your ability to lead teams and liaise with multiple stakeholders effectively contribute to your success.
You are confident in your administration abilities, utilising Microsoft 365 and competent in electronic health records and clinical documentation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced Registered Nurse with current, valid NMC registration, or another Allied Health Professional.
- Independent & Supplementary Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification.
- Demonstrated previous experience working within specialist ADHD services, including working with individuals with mental illness, ideally in acute or specialist mental health settings.
- Experience in clinical leadership or supervisory roles within mental health or related healthcare services.
- Proven track record in pathway or project ownership and service development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and support clinical teams.
- Experience in quality governance, clinical audit, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Additional clinical qualifications in psychiatry, mental health, or related specialties.
- Further education relating to leadership or advanced clinical skills.
- Experience working within or alongside NHS services.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills
- Project management and change management experience.
- Skills in data analysis to inform pathway improvements.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary working and integrated care models.
